in May 2023 with the aim of contributing to the improvement of health and nutrition for children in Vietnam.

BACKGROUND &
PURPOSE

The Meaning Behind the Project Name

We valued the "Smiles" in our corporate slogan "For Ever Brighter Smiles." "Smiles" not only refers to facial expressions but also represents the fulfillment of the "heart," while "Health" signifies the health of both the "heart" and the "body." This conveys our intention to contribute to the mental and physical well-being of children.

OUR POLICY

Vietnam is one of the key countries where we have established production and sales bases and are focusing on our global business. Furthermore, to realize the goal of contributing to the wellbeing of all generations through products and services that leverage Morinaga Milk Group's unique ingredients, as stated in our Sustainability Medium- to Long-term Plan 2030 under the theme "Food and Well-being," we aim to contribute to health, nutrition, and a happy life.

YEARLY PROGRESS

2023 – PHASE 1

1ST PHASE PROGRAM（2023）

In April 2024, two kindergartens in Tuan Giao District completed the construction of kitchen facilities with improved hygiene standards, and were handed over to the Department of Education and Training in Tuan Giao District.

The handover ceremony was attended by children, teachers, cooking staff, parents, community members, Vietnamese government officials, an International NGO, and representatives from the Morinaga Milk Group.

2024 – PHASE 2

2ND PHASE PROGRAM（2024）

In May 2025, we completed the construction of cooking facilities with improved sanitary conditions at two kindergartens in Tuan Giao District, Dien Bien Province, and were donated them to the Tuan Giao District Ministry of Education and Training.

A handover ceremony for the cooking facilities was held at the supported kindergarten, attended by stakeholders of the support program, including Vietnamese government officials, teachers, staff, parents, and children.

2025 - PHASE 3

3RD PHASE PROGRAM（2025）

In May 2026, we completed the construction of cooking facilities with improved sanitary conditions at one elementary school and one kindergarten in Lai Chau Province and donated them to the Lai Chau Provincial Department of Education and Training.

A handover ceremony for the cooking facilities was held at the supported kindergarten, attended by stakeholders of the support program, including Vietnamese government officials, teachers, staff, parents, and children.

2026 - PHASE 4

4TH PHASE PROGRAM（2026）

The fourth phase of the program will commence in July 2026 and will continue to build on the support framework established through previous initiatives. This includes both hardware support, such as the construction of school meal facilities, and software support, including guidance on nutrition and hygiene practices.

In addition, we will organize study tours in which teachers, staff members, and parents from the fourth-year beneficiary sites visit the third-year beneficiary sites. Through these exchanges, we aim to establish a foundation that enables beneficiary communities to independently sustain and pass on nutrition education practices.

The program will also continue to expand its reach so that a greater number of people can benefit from its support.
