Sample Lot Inspections
Before raw materials are approved for delivery to plants, lot samples are carefully inspected not only by the suppliers but also by Morinaga Milk's own Quality Control Department which conducts strict quality control measures to
determine that such raw materials meet Morinaga's standards for use. Plants are permitted to accept only those materials which have passed quality inspection in advance.
・ Erroneous Input Prevention System
Erroneous Input Prevention System
Functions of the Erroneous Input Prevention System include -
1. Calculation of the amount of each ingredient needed per lot based on product specifications
2. Printing of weight labels with bar codes for each ingredient
3. Flow sequence for mixing and blending of ingredients based on formula instructions
4. Ensuring that only prescribed ingredients are used
5. Automatic recording of all ingredients used
In addition to preventing errors in the mixing and blending of product ingredients, this system simplifies quality verifications and allows rapid tracing of finished product.
MACCP
Morinaga's own MACCP system, based on HACCP, ensures that all products meet the standards for Morinaga Milk products. MACCP also allows Morinaga to maintain a stable manufacturing system to provide trustworthy products to all customers.
The main feature of the system is quality-related hazard analysis that ensures food safety and quality through strict implementation of measures to prevent one-time and repetitive errors.

・ Taste Panel Meister System
Taste Panel Meister System
Morinaga Milk established its own unique system to select those employees within the Morinaga Group who can sense even small variances in the basic tastes found in food, specifically, sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami. The testing
done to identify such employees is so stringent that, as of 2018, only 71 of the 5,600 employees in the Morinaga Group could be certified as a "Taste Panel Meister." The Meisters have such an extremely refined sense of taste that
they can detect even slight taste abnormalities in products.
